Disney 2012 Cruise Offerings: In celebration of families, Disney cruises
is making it even easier to benefit from a Disney Cruise Line vacation
by offering cruises from even more regional homeports than ever before.
Families looking for the absolute in Disney family vacation can now embark
on their ultimate family vacation from the ports of Galveston, New York
City, Los Angeles and Seattle as well as Cape Canaveral, Florida.
For a
limited time kids sail free on select Mexican Riviera cruises. Children
age 17 and under sail for free when they sail with 2-full fare guests on
most Mexican Riviera cruise sailings from January 22-29, 2012.
Early in
the morning on March 31st, 2012, the newest addition to the Disney Cruise
Line of family vacations will depart on her maiden voyage from the dock
at Port Canaveral, Florida.
The elegant new Disney Fantasy, a completely new cruise liner designed
from the ground up to be the ultimate family cruise ship on the water to
date, sailed into the Port Canaveral piers sporting 1250 shiny new staterooms
that can accommodate up to 4,000 lucky passengers. The Disney Fantasy is
only the second of two all new cruise ships Disney Cruises is building
at a total combined cost exceeding $1.8 billion.
- The Fantasy will join the Disney Dream in the spring of 2012 with all
the new venues promising to awaken the minds of passengers young and
old. The two new ships will increase the capacity of Disney Cruise Line
by nearly 150 percent. These sister ships will sail from Port Canaveral
taking their passengers on a variety of Bahamian and Caribbean itineraries
throughout 2012. The Fantasy will alternate on seven-night sailings
between eastern and western Caribbean ports with all itineraries featuring
a stop at Castaway Cay, Disney’s own private island.
- The 2012 summer and fall schedule for the Disney Magic will base the
ship at the homeport of New York and feature eight-night cruises to the
Bahamas and five-night cruises along the scenic New England coastline
to Canada with the additional two-night weekend cruises for those just
looking for a quick getaway enjoying the New York skyline and a day at
sea. These New York scheduled itineraries will run from May 25
through September 12th in 2012.
- The Magic will then call Galveston, Texas its homeport for the remainder
of the cruise season presenting 12 seven-night cruises that include three
days at sea, three days enjoying tropical, exotic western Caribbean ports
of call. From September 22 through December 8th you and your family can
bask on the warm, golden beaches along beautiful azure waters while at
port and experiencing the hospitality and magical guest services and
amenities while at sea.
- During the months of May through August the Disney Wonder cruise ship
will call the Port of Seattle home. Set out on a seven-night cruise
departing from the beautiful Puget Sound area along the coastline of
British Columbia Canada and on up the amazing waters of Alaska’s
Inside Passage. Enjoy all the natural wonders, pristine wilderness,
whales, bald eagles and wildlife from the wilds of Alaska as you experience
the rich history and amazing beauty from ports of call that include historic
Victoria, British Columbia, the blue glacial waters of Tracy Arm, as
well as Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway in Alaska.
- Throughout the fall, winter and spring months the Wonder will head
south to the Port of Los Angeles. Planed cruises during September
will feature four seven-night itineraries along the coastlines
of the Pacific calling on the ports of San Francisco, San Diego and Ensenada,
Mexico. Seven-night Mexican Rivera cruises will follow throughout
the remainder of the season. In addition two special fifteen-day
cruises will depart in 2012 on April 29th and October 14 sailing from
Los Angeles to Hawaii taking its guests to the tropical ports of Hilo,
Kahului, Maui, Honolulu, Oahu, Nawiliwili, Kuai and Ensenada, Mexico. The
other special cruise is for a fourteen-day sailing featuring eight wonderful
days at sea and visits for many warm, beautiful Hawaiian ports of call.
