  • The Walt Disney Company announced plans to expand its successful cruise business with the addition of two new ocean liners. Scheduled to launch in 2011 and 2012, the two new 122,000-ton cruise liners will more than double the current passenger capacity for Disney Cruise Line in order to meet the growing demand for the ever popular Disney’s family cruise vacations. The new ships are being built by Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. The new ocean liners will be significantly larger than the existing 83,000-ton ships, the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder with 1,250 staterooms each.

Comments:

Everyone loves cruising on Disney because they load their luggage in your departure airport and you don't see it again until it arrives in you stateroom on ship. Along with that, a bus operated by Disney picks you up at the Orlando airport and takes you to your hotel or to the port. This is really a good situation for people traveling with children.
